Founders Grove Families,

Tomorrow is Count Day! Please help your scholar arrive on time and be ready for a full day of learning. Attendance on Count Day is especially important, as it helps determine the funding our school receives to support learning and educational programs.

Thank you for showing up, being part of our community, and helping us make every student count!

A true classical education goes far beyond textbooks to nurture the mind, body, and soul.

At Founders Grove Classical Academy, we believe educating the whole child means making art and physical education a daily priority.

By providing art and PE every single day, we give our students the freedom to create, move, build physical discipline, and appreciate true beauty.

No phones. No Chromebooks. Just meaningful learning.

At Founders Grove Classical Academy, our low-tech classrooms give students the freedom to read, explore, create, ask questions, and engage deeply with the world around them.

Meet Our Interim Head of School, Mary Herrmann!

Founders Grove Classical Academy is excited to welcome Mary Herrmann as our Interim Head of School. A Saginaw resident for the past 25 years, Mrs. Herrmann brings more than a decade of classroom experience, leadership experience, and a deep appreciation for classical education.

She is passionate about the way classical education uses timeless literature and stories to help students explore character, perseverance, and the experiences of those who came before them. With experience in instruction, student growth, team leadership, communications, fiscal accountability, and nonprofit leadership, Mrs. Herrmann brings a well-rounded perspective to her role.

Most importantly, she is excited to get to know the students, staff, and families who make up the Founders Grove community and to see our school’s values come to life each day.

Please join us in welcoming Mrs. Herrmann to Founders Grove!

At Founders Grove Classical Academy, we believe movement is an important part of learning.

Throughout the school day, we make movement a priority, giving students opportunities to be active, reset, refocus, and return to learning ready to grow.

Because great learning does not always happen sitting still.

The art of handwriting is far from lost. At Founders Grove Classical Academy, teaching cursive is a core part of our classical tradition.

Our intentional focus on cursive gives students the unique key to history, allowing them to read historical primary sources, founding documents, and family archives in their original forms.

More depth. More connection. More joy in uncovering the past.

At Founders Grove Classical Academy, we believe education is about more than academics. It’s about helping children become thoughtful, courageous, responsible, and virtuous people.

Our Hillsdale-inspired curriculum intentionally weaves character and virtue into the school day, alongside a strong academic foundation.

Because we’re not just preparing students for the next grade, we’re helping prepare them for life.
