The Jeremiah School provides a place for parents of kids with special needs such as: ADD, ADHD, Asperger’s, ODD, Anxiety Disorder and Sensory Integration Disorder who do not excel in a public school setting. Jeremiah School’s mission is to support these kids in in an environment that will allow them the opportunity to grow and learn in a Christian setting.

Book Steps video-based children’s books designed by Wende Parsley, M. Ed., a teacher, certified in Reading Recovery, pre-kindergarten, kindergarten, and ESL, to coordinate appropriate levels of beginning readers with thematic schedules of primary teachers. Parents and teachers alike will enjoy seeing their children benefit from our video-based books. The levels gradually increase in difficulty creating a positive experience for the beginning reader. By following thematic schedules of primary teachers, the levels start with the beginning of the school year and follow the seasons and events throughout the year.
Book Steps video-based children’s books open new avenues of learning. With high-resolution color pictures and photos to match the text, children get needed motivation. They can’t wait to see the next page! As well as learning to read, they also get a jump-start into video-based point and click fine motor skills.
With multiple leveled books, our video-based children’s books are an incredible resource. When kids feel successful, they have more fun. The more fun reading is the more they want to do it. The more they read, the better they get. The better they read, the further they go. We, at Book Steps, want to be a part of that incredible journey.

MTHFR mutations, which I see frequently in my functional medicine practice, have been linked to a decreased ability to detoxify, as well as over 60 chronic health conditions including Hashimoto’s and hypothyroidism, blood clots, infertility, cardiovascular disease, Alzheimer’s, depression, birth defects, and certain cancers!
The good news is that, while we used to think that our genes were static and there was nothing we could do about them, we now know that isn’t true! An emerging science called epigenetics shows us that genes can be both turned on and turned off!
