🎉🖤💛 First Day of School Fun at Holy Cross! 💛🖤🎉

We’ve been building up to this day all summer! From Cru Day, where our students and families had the chance to meet our teachers and staff, to New Student Orientation yesterday, and finally having EVERYONE back on campus today — it has been so good to see Holy Cross full of energy again!

This year, we are blessed to welcome 98 students to Holy Cross Catholic High School! 🙌 We’re also celebrating our largest freshman class yet with 38 freshmen! 🎓✨ We are so excited to watch this group learn, grow, and become part of the Crusader family.

Our first day started bright and early with one of our favorite traditions — Senior Sunrise! 🌅🎓 Our seniors gathered together to kick off their final first day at Holy Cross. A huge THANK YOU to our senior parents who helped make this morning so special for the Class of 2027! 🖤💛

What a great way to begin another year at Holy Cross. We can’t wait to see all that God has in store for our students this year!

As we prepare to welcome our students back to campus, our entire Holy Cross team gathered for a beautiful spiritual retreat—a time to step away, come together as a team, and prepare our hearts for the year ahead with Christ at the center of it all.

Our day included an incredible guest speaker, the celebration of Holy Mass led by our very own Fr. Michael Rodriguez, Adoration, the opportunity for Confession, and praying the Holy Rosary together. 🙏

A special thank you to the amazing Mrs. Randolph for thoughtfully organizing such a meaningful day for our staff!

As we begin this new school year, we are reminded that our mission goes far beyond the classroom. We have been entrusted with 98 incredible students, and it is our privilege to educate them, encourage them, pray for them, and most importantly, help lead each one of them closer to Christ. ❤️

What a beautiful way to prepare our hearts and our team for the year ahead.

🏈 Crusader Football is back! 🏈

We’re proud to see our lone senior, Chance Davis, featured as he prepares to lead the Crusaders into his final season at Holy Cross! Chance has been an important part of our football program, and we’re excited to watch him step into this senior year with leadership, determination, and plenty of Crusader pride. 🖤💛

We’re also excited to officially welcome Coach Micah Burditt as our new Head Football Coach! We look forward to seeing his leadership, energy, and vision for our program as he begins this new chapter with the Crusaders.

Congratulations, Chance, on the well-deserved recognition — and welcome to Holy Cross, Coach Burditt! We can’t wait to see what this season brings!

✨ The Relics of Saint Carlo Acutis Are Coming to Midland! ✨

For the first time in our community, the relics of Saint Carlo Acutis will be available for veneration at Our Lady of Guadalupe Shrine. We are grateful to the parish for graciously inviting our community to participate in this special opportunity for prayer, Adoration, and reflection.

Saint Carlo Acutis was a remarkable teenager who loved Jesus, especially in the Holy Eucharist. He used his passion for technology to evangelize, creating a website that documented Eucharistic miracles from around the world. Carlo famously said, “The Eucharist is my highway to Heaven.”

His life reminds us that holiness is possible at every age and that our gifts—even modern technology—can be used to share God’s love. May his example inspire each of us to seek Christ every day with joyful hearts. 💙🙏
