We can't stop smiling. 🤍
Last Monday evening, our Trailblazers stood in front of the Anson County Board of Education and spoke. Out loud. In a room full of adults. About something that matters — not just to them, but to so many kids across our community and state that are in the same position.
They researched for months. They wrote. They revised. They practiced. And when the moment came, they stood up, steadied their nerves, and delivered — with respect, with heart, and with courage far beyond their years. They chose to be comfortably uncomfortable, and they grew because of it.
Since then, our hearts have been overflowing. So many community members have reached out to tell us how impressed they were, how well the kids did, and how much they support these kids having the chance to play. Some have even offered to help however they can. To every one of you — thank you. It means more than you know.
Here's what we know for sure: No matter what the board has in their capacity to change, or how the state chooses to proceed with bill becoming law - these kids have already won something that can never be taken from them. They've learned how change works. That it starts locally. That it takes research, writing, speaking, and standing up — even when your knees are shaking. The art of rhetoric and the courage to use it will carry them far beyond any ballfield.
We're so grateful. We're so blessed. And when the timing is right, the Lord will open whatever door He sees fit.
Until then — we'll keep growing, keep learning, and keep being ridiculously proud of these kids. 🧡💙
