Guest Teacher Spotlight: Karisa Skiba
Midland Festival Ballet is proud to welcome Karisa Skiba as a guest teacher for Week 2 of our Summer Intensive (June 8-12). Karisa is a former professional dancer and experienced educator with a strong classical background and a thoughtful, student‑centered approach to training.
Her teaching emphasizes clean technique, healthy alignment, and musicality, helping dancers build strength, confidence, and long‑term technical clarity. With experience teaching at professional schools and coaching high‑level competitors, Karisa creates a supportive yet challenging learning environment that encourages both technical growth and artistry.
Our Summer Intensive is open to dancers ages 12+ with at least one year of en pointe training.

This special program gives young dancers the chance to grow through focused solo work and individualized coaching in a supportive, encouraging setting. It’s an opportunity to explore their artistry, build confidence, and gain valuable performance experience. PLUS cute matching leotards from Eurotard and a unique, CHALLENGING class by Master Mr. Conde Reche!
We are so proud of these dancers and excited to see how this experience helps them continue to shine and grow!
