Howard (CWH) Santa Claus School, a non-profit organization, was established in 1937 and is the longest continuously running Santa Claus School in the world. Thomas Valent is the present Dean of the internationally recognized Santa School. The school is held in Midland, Michigan in the fall.

2026 CWH Santa Claus School - An 89‑year tradition carried forward. We invite aspiring Santa and Mrs. Claus performers to join the Charles W. Howard Santa Claus School from October 1-3, 2026 at the Midland Center For The Arts. Our lecturers from across the United States and Canada will present the legends and facts of Saint Nicholas and instruct the heart and performance techniques of Santa as preserved by nearly nine decades of practice. We offer focused guidance for authentic portrayal, costume integrity, and the responsibilities that accompany the role.
