Please join us in congratulating our Employees of the Month: Caleb Dickerson, Kate Hart, and Maria Warren!

Each of these team members serves in a vital support role and often does important work behind the scenes. We want Caleb, Kate, and Maria to know we see them, appreciate them, and that their faithful work makes a meaningful difference throughout our school.

Caleb serves with a genuine servant’s heart. He works diligently to keep our building clean and welcoming, viewing his work not simply as a job but as a ministry. Whether caring for our facilities or stepping in to help with something outside his usual responsibilities, Caleb consistently demonstrates initiative, kindness, and this year’s motto: “Whatever you do…”

Kate has been an incredible blessing to our Educational Support program. She quickly organized supplies, connected with teachers, and developed documentation that will help students receive consistent, reliable support. Her positive attitude, clear communication, and openness to feedback help equip students and teachers for success.

Maria’s behind-the-scenes work also has a tremendous impact. She oversees online classes, tracks students’ progress, answers questions, and grades assignments—providing the accountability many students need. She also serves as registrar and coordinates dual-enrollment and online courses, all while carrying her teaching load.

Caleb, Kate, and Maria, much of what you do may happen quietly, but it does not go unnoticed. We see your hard work, your dedication, and the many ways you support our students, staff, and school community. We are deeply grateful for each of you!

Congratulations, Caleb, Kate, and Maria!

On Tuesday, we celebrated our one and only senior on the soccer team! We’re so proud of all Johnny has given to our boys soccer program and grateful for the leadership, dedication, and memories he leaves behind.

And to make the night even sweeter, the boys came away with a WIN! 🎉⚽️

🎙️ Because You Asked — “What Does CBA Mean When We Talk About a Biblical Worldview?”

Intro:
Welcome back to Because You Asked, the segment where we answer questions from parents, students, and our school community. This is Dr. David Warren, Head of School at Calvary Baptist Academy.

This week's question is:
“What does CBA mean when we talk about a biblical worldview?”

Answer:
If you've been around CBA very long, you've heard us use the phrase biblical worldview. But what exactly does that mean?
It's more than Christian textbooks, Christian teachers, Bible class, or chapel.

A worldview is simply the lens through which we understand life. It answers questions like: Who is God? Who am I? What is true? What is right and wrong? And what is my purpose?

A biblical worldview means we look to Scripture as the foundation for answering those questions—and for understanding all of life.
That's why our goal isn't simply for students to know what Christians believe. We want them to know what they believe, why they believe it, and how to communicate it effectively to others.
But knowing the right answers isn't enough. A biblical worldview should change how we live.

Jesus told us to love God with everything we are and to love our neighbor as ourselves. So worldview should affect how students treat classmates, respond to teachers, compete in athletics, perform in fine arts, build a robot, use technology, choose entertainment, and make decisions when nobody is watching.

That's also why we talk about developing True Worshippers. Worship isn't limited to singing in chapel. Romans 12 teaches us that our entire lives can be offered to God as worship.
We want students who see all of life as an opportunity to know God, obey Him, love others, and bring Him glory.

And we can't—and shouldn't—do that alone. Parents have the primary responsibility for discipling their children, the local church plays an essential role, and CBA wants to partner with both.
That's why I'd especially encourage you to join us October 17 and 18 for our free Biblical Worldview Summit, featuring my friend Dr. Jeff Keaton, founder of RenewaNation. It's designed especially for middle and high school students, parents, and adults.

Meet Harlee, a remarkable third grader whose faith and determination have inspired me deeply.

When her parents told her that finances might keep her from returning to school, Harlee gave up ballet lessons and spent the summer selling jam to help pay her tuition.

Her reason was simple: “I don’t want to go to a school where I can’t learn about Jesus.”

I told Harlee we would match whatever she raised from the Scholarship Fund. Last week, she came to me and said, “Dr. Warren, I have a check for you," and handed me a check for $1,000 and a jar of homemade jelly.

Harlee’s story is a beautiful reminder of how much a Christian education means to our students. You can help students like Harlee continue learning and growing in faith by giving to our scholarship fund.

Every gift makes a difference.
