Chippewa Cooperative Preschool A Place Where Children Can Learn and Grow Our structured program is based on the physical, mental and emotional readiness of three, four and five year olds.

Our experienced certified teacher and our paraprofessional bring the spirit of fun into the classroom while emphasizing sociability, self-reliance, muscular development and coordination and an introduction to routine schedules. Some of the special events your child has an opportunity to experience in the first year are pajama day, a beach party and the well-loved Teddy Bear Picnic. In your child’s

second year, there are field trips, a Thanksgiving Program and Chippewa’s creatively performed Circus! A balance of organized group activities and free play makes an exciting and fun school experience for your child. Chippewa Preschool offers both cooperative and private enrollment option. Cooperative

The cooperative option involves parent participation by helping the teacher carry out the day’s program. It gives parents an opportunity to experience their child’s growth and development from an educational perspective. Private

Due to working schedules, younger children or any other reasons that may prohibit cooperative participation, Chippewa offers parents a private enrollment option. Private parents pay a higher tuition which covers the cost of a paraprofessional who assists the teacher in the classroom. Even if you can’t readily or regularly participate in the class, dropping in once in a while is always welcome.

The Chippewa school year has ended, and we are so grateful to have watched two wonderful groups of children grow and thrive! We are excited to have Mrs. Ward move to the lead teacher role next year with Mrs. Rohr by her side.

We can’t wait to hear about all of Mrs. Savage’s adventures as she begins retirement, but we are sad to see her go! Thank you, Mrs. Savage for your years of dedication to the preschoolers of our community, and for your tireless energy and endless fun you brought to our school!

I spy with my little eye….. something new! A huge thank you to Jenny Roten of Crafty Confetti for donating her time and amazing talent to create our new mural wall! We are so grateful for you!

Supplies were purchased using fundraiser proceeds, so thank you to everyone who continues to support our school.

This mural is a fun addition for our children, and will be used as a sensory corner, an interactive search and find, a colorful visual learning tool, and so much more!
