A little bit of this week and last week. We have been working with fall season themes and Halloween characters. We are using our whole brain activities so it’s meaningful as they learn. They are all doing so good! By the way, we have a great group of little artists in our classroom! Enjoy and treasure everything they do with their little hands and big creative minds! Also, ask them questions like: how many legs does a spider have? And count them with them. Or what type of food do bats like? Fruits, insects or even blood? 🥴 Or what do baby bats eat? 🥛 They are learning and having fun as they do. Have a very blessed weekend everyone!
Creating a learning environment where the kids are learning but at the same time are playing, is great. They come to school and even though they are working hard, they are also engaged because these activities are interactive. They can’t wait to start rotations during centers and see what is the new challenge each day! They are also learning how to work independently and stay on task.
This is an example of how manipulatives are a big part of our instruction time. It helps them make the connection between what is being taught and what is really happening when we put it in practice.
Learning concepts like greater than, less than and equal to are hard. This is why making connections to the real world with fun games makes it easy for them to remember. Visual representation of these concepts help a lot when you are teaching math.
Letter sound recognition is so important to learn reading and phonics.
Working on reading and spelling with our little ones 😉 Visuals and games are so much fun to learn and it builds meaningful experiences.

Fun Fridays are to have fun with our peers! We shared, socialized, learned to take turns, do a lot of hands on activities, put our minds to think outside the box 😉 it’s our reward to our students for their hard work. Learning needs to be meaningful to our students. Having visuals and modeling with manipulatives makes the learning process meaningful and fun.
