We are all about recycling and we think it is so great. We are looking for a carpenter that can help us make furniture for the children’s area in the basement out of used pallets. We have the pallet breaker, but we need somebody to come and assemble for us.

Stay safe out there. Flu shot is important

New York has just seen the highest number of flu cases ever recorded in a single week: 71,123 positive cases documented the week just before Christmas and, unfortunately, we haven't yet reached the peak of flu season.

The good news is that there's still time to get your flu shot! If you haven't had a chance, make some time to get a shot and protect yourself, your family, and your community.

Let's start 2026 safe and healthy!

Hey everybody it's Mo 👋

Is there anybody I'm here that has had success getting on the list for the state of New York? We have called several times and they just keep hanging up on us. It's a little frustrating

We are so excited about ordering our new toys and beds and carpeting and beanbag chairs and Montessori/eastern African learning tools.

In traditional Somali villages, children are raised with a powerful belief: every child belongs to the community. Elders guide, parents nurture, neighbors watch over one another, and children grow up surrounded by patience, respect, storytelling, and shared responsibility.

These values are timeless — and they translate beautifully to the Hudson Valley.

At our daycare, we embrace the same principles that have shaped strong, resilient children across generations in Africa:
• Children are seen, heard, and valued
• Learning happens through community, culture, and connection
• Respect for elders and peers is taught early
• Emotional growth is just as important as academics
• No child is raised alone — we work together with families

Whether in a tribal village or a small town in New York, children thrive when they are surrounded by consistency, care, and a sense of belonging.

Different place. Same values.
Strong roots. Bright futures.
