Check out these 1st grade leaders working hard during their ELA stations, leadership lap earned by twins, and representing SLE so well on their field trip! We are so proud of these leaders and can’t believe they are about to be 2nd graders!!! 💛🐝🖤

Today, 5th grader, Murphy, presented to a class of 2nd graders about hearing loss. He has refined and practiced this presentation since 2nd grade, and it was incredible to see his confidence and knowledge shine through. Murphy read Gracie’s Ears and shared about the “speech banana,” his audiogram, his personal hearing loss journey, and his experience using hearing aids. We are so grateful to Murphy for sharing this important part of his life and for teaching our students with such openness and expertise. Murphy is growing into a strong advocate for those with hearing loss, and we are so proud of him!

The sun was shining, the donuts were fresh, and the hundreds of faces outside were full of smiles! A HUGE shoutout to our SLE Boosters for providing (and picking up) all of the donuts, our staff for supporting the event, and our students for BEEing amazing! 💛🐝🖤
