We offer a flexible and tailored curriculum that educates all aspects of a student's ability. ➡️ We offer plenty of opportunities to perform throughout the year! Rositano Studios currently has two teachers at the studio. JENNIFER ROSITANO: Born in Staten Island and raised in New Jersey, Jennifer Rositano has been singing on the stage since she was seven years old. Growing up in an Italian family, she was constantly surrounded by music. Pavarotti, Sinatra and Sonny King (coincidentally her cousin) were among the famous voices that influenced this young artist. She started taking vocal lessons at the age of seven and had her first taste of the stage performing in Oliver, Annie and Anything Goes with the New Jersey Repertory Theater. Soon, she had her sights set on Broadway. She signed with DM Kids and on her first audition, landed a national commercial for Dr. Scholls. Other commercials soon followed, including a national commercial for Ovaltine and a few voice overs for Dr Scholls, Cutie Clementines, and Curad Band Aids. She was also featured in a few indie films and ultimately achieved her childhood goal when she made her broadway debut in Rubrirosa and later starred in the hit broadway musical, Annie. At this time she also studied with the famous Robert Marks and was featured in many of his cabaret shows in NYC. In high school, Jennifer decided to turn her attention towards classical music, particularly opera. She was the only freshman to be accepted into the ‘by audition only’ chamber choir and to receive a solo in her first chorus concert. She also auditioned and made the All Shore Choir where she sang as a Soprano for four years. Jennifer has appeared in various Opera Scenes, and roles include Despina in Cosi Fan Tutte and Patience in Patience. In the summer of her junior and senior year, Ms Rositano was accepted into the prestigious Spoleto Vocal Arts Program, participating in master classes, lessons, coachings, and performances in Spoleto, Italy. Here she studied with the Metropolitan Opera’s own diction coach, Nico Castel, and gained invaluable knowledge and experience. In her senior year, she received the National Choral Award for her outstanding musicianship and leadership abilities. Jennifer attended Mason Gross School of the Arts where she received her Bachelors degree in Music Education with a minor in Italian. Here she studied music theory, history, composition, and vocal performance. While at Mason Gross, she sang with the University Choir; in her senior year she was featured as a Soprano soloist in Pergolesi’s Stabat Mater with the University Choir. Her opera credits at Rutgers include various chorus and supporting roles in Les Contes d’Hoffmann, Athalia, and Die Lustige Witwe. In addition to her classical training, she studied dance for ten years under the tutelage of George Warren at his studio, Center Stage. Here she focused on jazz, hip-hop, ballet, lyrical, tap, and acting. Furthermore, she studied piano for a total of twelve years at Monmouth Conservatory in Red Bank and then at Mason Gross. During this time, she also made her rock debut singing with her cousins band Law and Order at Starland Ballroom in Sayreville, NJ. Jennifer currently runs her own studio out of Middletown, NJ, where she teaches voice and piano. She is an active Cantor at St. Clements Church and continues to appear in Operas during her summers off in Spoleto, Italy.
