Urbana, Frederick, Middletown, MD 📍 Sarah Watkins is the main music teacher and director. She started at the age of 6 years old. She started playing classical music at the age of 8 years old and the ability to play by ear at 10. She started writing music for film score and soundtrack at during her st

udies in college. Pre college she started taking lessons at Levine School of Music with a full scholarship. She then prepared for college and studied under Dr. Crowder (Director of the Kennedy Center). Once accepted to University of Maryland, Sarah studied under Dr. Larissa Dedova honored artist of Russia. During her studies, Sarah traveled competitively, performing across the United States and Europe for 4 years. Sarah won the 2011 International Piano Competition in Vipiteno, Italy. She moved to Nashville to continue performing. She composed and released a pop/country music album in 2015. She recorded in Martina McBrides studio -Blackbird, and recorded with Drew Middleton for her next releases. Sarah performed across Broadway for 2 years. Sarah was contracted in Miami, Florida for the production of making a music video for her song she released in 2021 - "Fall Into Me." Towards the end of 2021, Sarah performed for the first time at the Kennedy Center and Embassy of Ecuador. Currently Sarah founded Watkins Academy of Music in 2010 and created an academy where students can learn the highest level of music education. Sarah has created a program where students can learn to play by ear and compose as well. Students are given the opportunity to perform in concerts. "Music is all about playing from the heart and telling your own story."
