We started the day out serving brunch to our seniors 😎 couldn't have asked for a better day

Saturday February 25, Officers from MPD teamed up with Wesleyan Public Safety and took the plunge into the frigid waters of Crystal Lake.

The feel like temperature is at the time of the plunge was 16° freezing for a Reason, Plunging for a Purpose!! That purpose is Special Olympics Connecticut! Our team raised over $3,400, we won The Artic Hero Award-Top Fundraising Public Safety Group and the event raised nearly $44,000.

Yesterday, Officers from MPD teamed up with Wesleyan Public Safety and took the plunge into the frigid waters of Crystal Lake.

The feel like temperature is at the time of the punch was 16°, freezing for a Reason, Plunging for a Purpose!! That purpose is Special Olympics Connecticut! Our team raised over $2,500 and the event raised nearly $50,000.

Update on Wes. His eyes are open and he is doing well and growing fast at the rescue.

Some good news. Amidst all the craziness Officer Dunn found a baby squirrel on the sidewalk with no signs of a nest or a mom to help him. Dunn took action right away. He brought the baby to Headquarters and Dispatcher Walker immediately called a rescue for guidance. The baby was affectionately named Wes, of course. And the rescue asked if we could bring the baby to her right away. We received a message from the rehabber today as seen in the photo. Stay safe out there and wash your hands. We will all be back together soon.

let’s stuff a public safety cruiser full of toys stop down this week to Usdan and find us. Bring an unwrapped toy.
