The weather is looking great for the Cossacks pitch-in and bonfire this Saturday. What’s a bonfire without s’mores? We have the chocolate, but no one has signed up for marshmallows and Graham crackers. Other options are meatballs or BBQ for another entree. Of course, desserts are always appreciated. Please list in the comments what we can put you down for. It’s going to be fun.

The Cossacks annual bonfire on Saturday, September 30 includes a pitch-in. Chipping in a few bucks for expenses that night is always an option; however, we still could use the following:
1. A box of individual bags of chips (2)
2. Marshmallows (3 bags)
3. Graham crackers (3 boxes)
4. 2 liter bottles of soft drinks
5. Alternatives for those who don’t like hot dogs, such as meatballs, BBQ, etc.
6. Desserts/snacks - Can you have too many of these?
Please advise what you are bringing and how many in the comments.
Please help spread the word so we can have a huge gathering of Cossacks, one for the record books.

Hello, class of 1966. Most of us turned or will turn 75 this year, and that’s worthy of a celebration. Next Thursday, July 20, the Cossacks luncheon is planned for noon at Cammack Station. What a wonderful opportunity to piggy back on this day and venue for our own mini-reunion/birthday party. As an extra bonus, Cossacks from other classes will be there. Please help spread the word.

Cossacks party goers: please be sure to bring a lawn chair, a drink, and something for the pitch-in and bonfire Saturday evening. Hot dogs, buns, chips, bottled water, paper plates and plastic ware will be provided. We opted out of getting cans of soft drinks so as not to attract bees. Please also bring that Cossacks spirit of a good time and lots of memories.

Middletown Cossacks Annual Bonfire is Saturday October 1 5:00 p.m. to ? at Norfleet farm This annual event includes a bonfire and pitch in. Hotdogs, buns, chips, and drinks will be provided. Please bring a side dish or dessert or donate $ towards expenses. Please also bring a lawn chair. Location: 4332 Co. Rd. 950 N Daleville Please use the marked lane to the barn. Event rain or shine Please spread the word to other MHS graduates and attendees. Guests welcome.

Mac and Pat Rice passed away last year shortly after visiting Middletown, Mac’s hometown. Their daughter Shannon has asked that we share far and wide details about a Celebration of Life to be held in August in their honor. The MHS Class of 1966 regrets the passing of classmate Donna Schiewe Carper. Our condolences to her family. The funeral is at 2:00 Dec. 31 at Ballards Funeral Home in Middletown with viewing from noon to 2.

The MHS Class of ‘66 is sad to hear of the passing of classmate, Mike Baker. Our condolences to his family. Rozelle-Johnson in Anderson is handling the arrangements. The viewing is Tuesday from 11-1 with the funeral at 1.

The MHS class of ‘66 will hold its 55th reunion September 25 starting at 2 p.m. The annual Cossacks bonfire will follow at 5. All these festivities will be held at Ken Norfleet’s farm.
