MHS CLASS OF 1973 (Middletown, NY)

Welcome home for those you have traveled far. And those that live locally it will be grand to see you again. I did wish for better weather, but Mother Nature is not cooperating!

Our 50th Reunion celebration is finally here. For those of you who signed up for the Golden Grad Cermony it will be held at Middletown Senior High School (our Veraldi Jr High) at 5 pm. Please arrive by 4:45 pm for a prompt start.

The celebration evening starts at 6:00 pm at the Elks Club. Where we will laugh, reminiscent about the last 50 years of our lives. Hors d'oeuvres will be served. Beer, wine and soda as well as a cash bar will be available.

Saturday, September 30th at 6:00 pm will be the second night of our celebration with more catching up, fun, dancing and a lot more laughter. A buffet dinner will be served. Beer, wine and soda as well as a cash bar will be available.

I wish everyone joy and happiness as we gather for this wonderful weekend.

Hello!!!!!

It's time to collect K - 5 elementary school photos for our 50th MHS reunion.

From your registration responses, you have volunteered to share class photographs you have kept all these many years. Thank you! It will be fun for us to search for ourselves, friends, and teachers remembering and sharing memories of our early years together.

There are a few ways for you to send the photographs my way. However, before sending or sharing please, please, please, label the photograph with your name, the school name, and the date (if you remember) of the photograph.

1) Scan the photo and save the photograph as a JPEG. Email it to me as an attachment. If you do not have a printer that scans, there is an App you can download to your phone to scan the photograph, save as a JPEG, and send the document to me.

2) Send me the hard copy of your photograph labeled and in a plastic sleeve. Please be sure to put the photograph in a folder or back it with a piece of cardboard before putting it in a mailer. The post office can be a bit rough. If you do not have a plastic sleeve I will protect the photograph in a sleeve.

3) This last way is not optimal as Cora and I would like to have a concept for layout before the Reunion weekend. I will be at the Golden Grad event and if you are going to be at the event, you could give the photograph to me there.

Hi Middies,

IT'S AUGUST!
You have until September 1 to submit. I will not have time to finish this project after that date.
Here are the rules:
1) Anything goes- everything I have received has been unique, heartfelt and interesting. Some are resume type responses, some are photos, some are recollections, stories, things to be proud of, things that were hard. We've all had 'em. I have to say, the photos are particularly awesome!!!

2) Send your Musing to this address [email protected] with the name you had in high school in the subject line
If you want your contact info included, send that also.

3) You do not have to attend the reunion to participate. Everyone who submits a Musing, gets a copy of all the Musings. If you don't send one in, you won't get one.

4) Stumped? Send a photo. Send a poem. Send some artwork. I doubt anyone one has lived under a rock for the last 50 years, but if you have, send a description of your rock.

5) Embarrassed? Shy? Feeling funny about sharing your accomplishments or reminiscing about your failures? Don't be. This may be one of the last opportunities to share something of ourselves with each other. Think of it as opening a time capsule unique to our class. Look where we all started and look where we have ended up. We have lived in interesting times.
