Jason is a talented young point guard in the Class of 2031 who continues to distinguish himself both on the basketball court and in the classroom. Known for his high basketball IQ, strong leadership qualities, and relentless work ethic, Jason has established himself as one of the promising young players in his age group.

As a point guard, Jason is an elite mid-range shooter with the ability to create scoring opportunities for himself and his teammates. He is highly effective finishing at the basket with either hand and demonstrates advanced touch on both layups and floaters. His court vision, decision-making, and understanding of the game allow him to impact every aspect of competition.

Jason’s basketball accomplishments include multiple All-Star selections at the prestigious Kenny Smith Basketball Camp in both 2023 and 2024. He also earned the Free Throw Champion title at the Jr. Knicks Basketball Camp in December 2024. In September 2025, Jason was recognized for his character and leadership by receiving the Made Hoops Sportsmanship Award.

Off the court, Jason continues to excel academically and within his community. In 2026, he was inducted into the National Junior Honor Society, recognizing his commitment to scholarship, leadership, service, character, and citizenship. That same year, he was honored with the Sojourner Award for Perseverance for demonstrating exceptional determination, resilience, and dedication in overcoming challenges while striving for excellence.

With a strong foundation of academic achievement, character, and basketball success, Jason Buret continues to develop into a well-rounded student-athlete whose future is exceptionally bright both on and off the court.

Every day you have a chance to make a contribution towards becoming the best version of you. No excuses and get to work. Summer time is the time to get better, continue to put up your reps and be consistent on your effort and performance. Eat healthier options hydrate properly and most important rest at least 8 hours every night no distractions, leave the cell phones on airplane mode in the kitchen and go to bed.
