Widowhood changes so much more than your relationship status.
It changes the little things people don’t see.
The empty side of the bed. The decisions you suddenly have to make alone.
The holidays, the questions, the plans you once made together.
And sometimes, the hardest part is watching everyone else continue living while you’re still trying to understand how to live in this new reality.
And then suddenly, you’re expected to figure out how to live in a world that still looks the same when everything feels different.
If you know a widow, don’t assume they’re “doing better” because they’re smiling, working, or showing up.
Check on them.
Say their person’s name.
You don’t have to carry it all alone, if you feel like talking to someone, Comment “HEAL” and get a link to a free 1:1 grief consultation session.
