Middlesex professor and sculptor Matthew Weber’s solo exhibit entitled “Ground Shift” is on display at the Hammond Museum and Japanese Stroll Garden in North Salem, NY, through Nov. 15. His sculpture explores natural phenomena and human presence through organic forms, material and scale. Working primarily in wood, ceramic and cement, Prof. Weber draws on architectural, geological, plant and animal systems to examine order, structure and human intervention. He earned an MFA from the University of Connecticut and a BFA from the Hartford Art School. Photo: Recessed (2020), Pigmented and Stained Cement.
