Foreign Languages professor Angelo Glaviano (left) recently met with Middletown Mayor Gene P. Nocera (center) and former Mayor Sebastiano Giuliano to plan the city’s official May 2027 visit to its sister city, Melilli, Sicily. As a member of the planning committee, Professor Glaviano will serve as the official interpreter for Italian and U.S. officials and assist with travel logistics and the selection of official gifts.

On May 8, CT State recognized the graduates of the AI Presidential Fellows and AI Master Trainers programs.

Over four months, participants engaged in applied work focused on prompt development, ethical considerations, and practical implementation of AI in academic and operational settings. AI Presidential Fellows developed discipline-specific approaches to integrating AI, while AI Master Trainers (all former AI fellows) advanced this work through system-level application and the development of training models for broader adoption.

These efforts contributed to the development of the college’s AI Fluency Framework, positioning CT State to take a more structured and proactive approach to emerging technologies.
