Knights of Columbus Council #7 Car Show

he was 15 years old, a 1965 Fastback Mustang. It had a straight front axle when he bought it and over the next 40 years the car evolved with the addition of a rare Ford 427 Single Over Head Cam (SOHC) engine. The engine was developed for NASCAR use but was banned before release. David’s car is now an all out street legal drag race (Pro Street) car. The engine is supercharged with twin 4-barrel carburetors and a custom water-cooled intake manifold. It is show level with numerous unique and personal details in both appearance and performance. Dave worked on the car over the years with his best friend Arne McLellan, who will be driving the car to the show on July 15th. David dedicated the last twenty years of his life teaching seventh grade students in St. He loved nothing more than to share the word of God and instill enthusiasm for the Bible to the youth of St. Mary's Church. He shared his life lessons to his students including how he fought and won a battle against Leukemia early in his life, thanks to PierAngelo Meroni, his Bone Marrow Donor from Milan, Italy. Sadly, although David won his battle against Leukemia, he was to fight another battle, this time against Melanoma. In September of 2015 he passed away after a three year battle with the disease.
