Middletown FFA Member Summer Updates-

Alumni Barnyard Feast - This week the alumni is hosting their barnyard feast on Sunday August 2nd, 2026. We are looking for FFA members to help support the Alumni, as they always support our chapter. Frederick Fair -The Frederick Fair is quickly approaching as FFA members you may show in the youth building exhibit projects such as photographs, baked goods, welding/woodworking projects, crafts, art, etc. You can sign up now thru August 15th, 2026. This must be done on the The Great Frederick Fair website.

Students showing Animals - you must have already turned in your recordbook and been previously approved through your adivsor. Thinngs you still need to do - #1 - Complete quality assurance https://ahqa.umd.edu/ by the deadline of July 30th, 2026. #2 - Register your animal through The Great Frederick Fair website, if you do not register your animal you will not be able to show.

June Purchased Apparel - June apparel orders are in and can be picked up anytime beginning this Wednesday July 29th, 2026 between 8am and 2pm. Orders will be available to continue to pickup throughout the rest of the summer.

Last week the Middletown FFA Chapter at the 98th Maryland State FFA @ the wisp. We could not be more proud of how these students stepped out of their comfort zones to give speeches, perform talent, network with chapter members from across the state and compete in CDE and LDE's. Congratulations to Olivia Baltrotsky who will be serving MD FFA as the 2026-2027 State Secretary!

Many members were recognized and we are so proud of their hardwork.

We are so proud of the hard work these students put forth over the past year working with Delegate April Fleming Miller. These students were able to have a first hand experience researching, putting forward a bill, testifying in both the MD House and Senate. Last week all the hard work paid off as the bill was signed in to law by the Governor. It has truly been an awesome and experience and we cannot thank Delegate Miller enough for the support she has shown our students and the entire Maryland FFA Association. Thank you to Delegate Jesse Pippy for bringing forth MD Ag Fair and Shows bill last year, that inspired our students' work on HB972.

The Charles J Otto Agriculture Education Promise Act will help to secure the future of Agriculture Education in MD by allotting designated funding to support MD FFA and Maryland Ag Ed Foundation.

On April 24th we had 12 members go on a field trip to Camden yards where we got to learn about turf grass and the care and maintenance needed for it.
