Thank you everyone who came out and supported the Cake Auction. Special thank you to the Middletown FFA Alumni for coordinating the auction and Jeremiah Herbst for serving as our auctioneer.

The Best in Show cake was baked by Myrtle Sturtz and purchased by Hightman Insurance. Thank you so much for supporting our auction to kick off restarting the community show.

Help us restart the Middletown Valley Community Show. The Middletown Valley Community show has been missing from the Middletown Community since 2020. The community show is a great way to showcase our community culture and agriculture. We will be hosting a Cake Auction to raise funds to restart the Middletown Valley Community Show.

Come support the auction! Do have a business, know a local business or would just like to support your community. Come the Cake Auction held on Thursday October 8th, 2026.

All you can eat spaghetti, salad, rolls, and dessert.
A silent auction will be open until 6:45pm.

Congratulations to Middletown FFA member Joellen Honeycutt for baking the Grand Champion Pie this year at The Great Frederick Fair!

The top pie and top cake at The Great Frederick Fair combined to take in about $15,000 on Sunday at the annual youth baked goods auction.

Spaghetti Dinner Fundraiser
The Middletown FFA chapter is having a spaghetti dinner fundraiser on October 8th, 2026 from 5:30-7:00pm.

Location: Middletown High School Cafeteria

This fundraiser is to support the students attending National FFA Convention in October. We are pre-selling tickets. Please email Mrs. Nicholson ([email protected]) if you would like to purchase tickets ahead of time so that we can reserve them for you.

We are also looking for volunteers to help with food preparation, serving food, taking tickets, and clean-up. The students cannot help in the kitchen, so we need adults to be here that night. Middletown FFA Member Summer Updates-

Alumni Barnyard Feast - This week the alumni is hosting their barnyard feast on Sunday August 2nd, 2026. We are looking for FFA members to help support the Alumni, as they always support our chapter. Frederick Fair -The Frederick Fair is quickly approaching as FFA members you may show in the youth building exhibit projects such as photographs, baked goods, welding/woodworking projects, crafts, art, etc. You can sign up now thru August 15th, 2026. This must be done on the The Great Frederick Fair website.

Students showing Animals - you must have already turned in your recordbook and been previously approved through your adivsor. Thinngs you still need to do - #1 - Complete quality assurance https://ahqa.umd.edu/ by the deadline of July 30th, 2026. #2 - Register your animal through The Great Frederick Fair website, if you do not register your animal you will not be able to show.

Last week the Middletown FFA Chapter at the 98th Maryland State FFA @ the wisp. We could not be more proud of how these students stepped out of their comfort zones to give speeches, perform talent, network with chapter members from across the state and compete in CDE and LDE's. Congratulations to Olivia Baltrotsky who will be serving MD FFA as the 2026-2027 State Secretary!

Many members were recognized and we are so proud of their hardwork.
