*Note: Please join us for open house and computer distribution. As an added measure of security this school year families will not be permitted to take students to class on their first assigned day of school - join us for open house to meet the teacher and tour the building.

We are so excited to announce Mrs. Kate Lohmeyer as the new Rosa Parks Elementary assistant principal! As the assistant principal, Mrs. Lohmeyer is "most excited about my potential to influence school and community well-being. Cultivating spaces where adults and children feel safe, supported, and a true sense of belonging is my primary focus."

Estamos muy emocionados de anunciar a la Sra. Kate Lohmeyer como la nueva subdirectora de la escuela Primaria Rosa Parks! Como la subdirectora, la Sra. Lohmeyer dice "entusiasmada con mi potencial para influir en el bienestar de la escuela y la comunidad. New Assistant Principal at Rosa Parks Elementary Middletown City School District hired Mrs. Kate Lohmeyer as the new Rosa Parks Elementary assistant principal. Mrs. Lohmeyer spent the 2021-22 school year at Rosa Parks Elementary as the Attendance Secretary while she completed her Administrative Internship.

Thank you to our own Mr. Henry Reid for speaking with WCPO 9 on his role as a school counselor 💜 Mr. Reid is Rosa Park's new school counselor and he is a rock star at what he does for our students.

"I ultimately get to support them in a lot of various ways in order to make sure that they can get through the school day and make it through the school year — whatever that success looks like for them, figuring that out and helping support them along the way." -Mr. Reid

Middletown City Schools uses COVID relief for school counselors Federal coronavirus relief money allowed the district to afford placing counselors in every grade school, helping support student mental health.

Happy Fall Break! Our students have NO SCHOOL on Friday, October 8th and Monday, October 11th. Have a safe and healthy long weekend!
