A huge thank you to everyone who came out to support Louis L. Redding Middle School at our annual Back-to-School Night! Each year, this event continues to grow, and we are incredibly grateful for the community that continues to show up for our students and families.

A special shout-out to all of our community partners, vendors, donors, teachers, staff, and administrators who helped make the evening such a success. It truly takes a community, and we are so fortunate to have so many people and organizations willing to give their time, resources, and support to our Redding families. 🦅

🏑🏃🏼‍♀️🏃🏻🏐 FALL SPORTS ARE ALMOST HERE, EAGLES! 🦅💚💛

Interested in playing a fall sport at Louis L. Redding Middle School? Make sure you’re registered and ready for tryouts!

📅 REGISTRATION DEADLINE: AUGUST 31
All registration and required athletic paperwork must be completed through Rank One by August 31. Paperwork will NOT be accepted in person at school. Students who are not fully registered by the deadline will not be permitted to try out.

🏃 FALL SPORTS TRYOUTS
September 8–10, 2026
Tryouts will take place directly after school and typically last three days. Depending on the sport, dismissal will be around 3:20 p.m. or 4:20 p.m.

📣 REGULAR PRACTICES BEGIN
Monday, September 14
Practices are generally Monday–Thursday and will end no later than 4:20 p.m. Activity buses will be available.

🩺 DON’T FORGET YOUR PHYSICAL!
Student-athletes must have the NEW DIAA Preparticipation Physical Evaluation (PPE) completed by a physician or qualified healthcare provider on or after April 1, 2026. Only the updated DIAA PPE form will be accepted for the 2026–2027 school year.

The LLRMS Music Department Directors are here for YOU and looking forward to another exciting year of performances and opportunities for our young performers! Check out this quick info sheet from our Music Directors. Performance Calendars will be sent home with the syllabus in the first week of school. Please add ALL dates to your family calendars as soon as it is received!Students can best prepare themselves NOW in these last few days of summer by getting their instruments out and voices warmed up for the school year!

Congrats to Redding’s own (now at MHS) Carter Farrar for competing in the 2026 Drum Corps International (DCI) World Championships in Indianapolis at Lucas Oil Stadium this week! Carter left for tour soon after graduating 8th grade at RMS to join the Raiders Drum and Bugle Corps as they began their summer tour across the country performing for thousands of fans! And talk about a family tradition, as his older brother, Jackson, spent the summer marching with the Crossmen! Their father also marched in the Crossmen. Congratulations Carter on a successful first season of Drum Corps and to the Farrar family on continuing traditions of excellence through the performing and marching arts!

What an amazing JumpStart!

We welcomed new Eagles and families to Louis L. Redding Middle School 🦅. Students toured the building, learned about our 4 Houses, 1 Community House System, and got a preview of what to expect this school year. Parents attended informative sessions, and everyone got a chance to experience the excitement and community that make LLRMS special.

We wrapped up the morning with an energetic House Chant-Off, and Isibindi took home the win! 🦁💚

Don’t forget to grab your LLRMS spirit wear! Show your Eagle pride on day one with one of our new school shirts. We have designs for students, parents, and staff!
