May is Brain Tumor Awareness Month. This year, MES proudly put together a team to walk in honor of Sofia Pepitone. Sofia is a brain tumor survivor and an excellent example of reaching her highest potential by accessing her resources, maintaining a positive mindset, and working hard. She represents everything MES stands for and the values we strive to teach each day — don’t let anything stand in the way of your goals; hard work and determination lead to positive outcomes; use your strengths to support your weaknesses; ask for help when needed; and believe that every challenge makes us stronger.

For many of our students, "big feelings" can feel like a roadblock to getting things done.

Did you know that emotional regulation is a core pillar of Executive Functioning? By learning the Model of Emotions, students learn to recognize the signs of their stress before it leads to a meltdown.

We help elementary middle and high schoolers navigate this continuum so they can get back to what matters: their goals, their friends, and their future!
