Today is a reminder that while we’ve made progress, the opioid and overdose crisis continues to affect communities across Pennsylvania.

We can all take action to help stop overdose—today and every day.

🟣 Tell a friend where to get Narcan, also known as naloxone.

🟣 Explain how test strips detect deadly substances like fentanyl and xylazine.

🟣 Encourage people to treat everyone with compassion.

WE ARE proud to share that we will be a participating location for this event🙂

Whether you say "yinz" or "youse," cheer for the Steelers or the Eagles, saving lives is something every Pennsylvanian can get behind.

Last year, Pennsylvania distributed 10,700+ doses of naloxone on Save a Life Day, earning #3 in the nation.

Let's make a run for #1. On September 24, pick up free naloxone at a participating Save a Life Day location. Every dose distributed means another Pennsylvanian is prepared to respond to an overdose emergency.

Find a participating location—and learn how to get free naloxone year-round through Pennsylvania's Overdose Prevention Program—at the link in the comments.

We are incredibly excited to be partnering with Keystone Contractors Association as part of Life Unites Us to help reduce stigma and provide support and resources to the construction industry across the Commonwealth!

Pennsylvania state officials are focusing on the impact of opioid addiction on blue-collar workers, particularly in the construction industry.

When someone we love is affected by drug or alcohol use—or a substance use disorder—it can be hard to know where to start.

That’s why the Pennsylvania Department of Drug and Alcohol Programs created and launched the Family Learning Series, now available as a free set of short videos to help family members, loved ones, and friends find their footing and move forward. The series covers what to expect, how to set healthy boundaries, how to support children, and where to find help across Pennsylvania.

Learn what to expect, explore treatment and support options, and find ways to be present and supportive throughout the recovery process by clicking the link in the comments.
