This October, our little learners here at The Learning Experience are diving into My Emotions and Feelings, a curriculum theme designed to help children better understand what they’re feeling, express themselves, and build the social-emotional skills they’ll use every day. 🌈💬

With Miss Chievous by their side, children will explore the many emotions they experience and discover simple ways to navigate big feelings. ✨

Our Preppers had a buzzing good time exploring their creativity through bug stencil painting! Using stencils and paint, the children carefully created colorful insects while practicing fine motor skills, hand-eye coordination, and artistic expression.

As they painted, our little learners discussed different types of bugs, their colors, and the important roles insects play in nature. This hands-on activity encouraged creativity, focus, and early science learning while allowing each child to create their own unique masterpiece.

Preschool 2 Shines a Light on Discovery! 🔦💡

Our Preschool 2 friends have been exploring the exciting world of light, observation, and scientific discovery! Using flashlights and colored water, the children investigated how light travels through different materials, made observations about colors and reflections, and worked together to share their findings.

This hands-on STEM activity encouraged curiosity, critical thinking, and problem-solving while helping children develop language skills as they described what they saw and discovered. Through exploration and teamwork, our young learners are building a strong foundation for scientific inquiry and learning that asking questions is the first step to making amazing discoveries!

Our Preschool friends have been busy learning through hands-on sensory play! During this exciting water table activity, children explored concepts such as floating and sinking, cause and effect, problem-solving, and cooperative play. As they scooped, poured, and navigated the floating materials, they strengthened fine motor skills while practicing communication and teamwork with their classmates.

Sensory experiences like these encourage curiosity, critical thinking, and early STEM learning, allowing children to discover how the world around them works through play and exploration.

We would also like to give a warm TLE Middletown welcome to Ms. Elena, who has joined our team for the summer! We are excited to have her share in the learning, laughter, and adventures with our preschoolers. We know she will be a wonderful addition to our school community, and we can't wait for all the fun memories to be made together! 💙✨

Our little explorers in Toddler A are diving into June’s Curious Commotion theme! Through hands-on discovery, the children gathered around to observe and investigate a sensory water habitat filled with sea creatures. As they looked closely, touched, pointed, and shared their observations, they practiced important skills such as curiosity, language development, social interaction, and early scientific thinking.

At The Learning Experience, we encourage children to ask questions, explore their surroundings, and learn through meaningful experiences. Watching their excitement and wonder as they discovered what was inside the water was a beautiful reminder that some of the best learning happens when curiosity leads the way! 💙🌊✨

Toddler B had a splashing good time creating ocean waves with blue and white paint! Using their fingers as paintbrushes, the children explored different textures and colors while swirling and blending the paint to make beautiful waves. This hands-on sensory activity encouraged creativity while strengthening fine motor skills, hand-eye coordination, and sensory exploration. Smiles were all around on the playground today! Our friends enjoyed running, climbing, sliding, and exploring together while soaking up the fresh air and sunshine. Outdoor play provides opportunities for children to strengthen their gross motor skills, build confidence, practice social interactions, and develop teamwork through play. The laughter and excitement shared among friends made for a fun-filled day of learning and adventure outside!
