IMPORTANT BUS INFORMATION SHIFT

Good afternoon, as we near the end of our second week of school, we are pleased that our afternoon bus departures process and times are close to what we’ve hoped for and expected. Yesterday (Wednesday) was a good day, as all seven schools were on schedule or close to leaving when scheduled. We certainly appreciate the patience of our families as we’ve worked through this.

We are going to keep a close eye today on Presidential Park, which is the third run of the afternoon and affected most by earlier delays. If Presidential Park or any of our schools are experiencing significant delays, we will let you know. But we are discontinuing our minute-by-minute updates for every school. So if you don’t see or don’t hear from us, please trust that everything is OK and your young person will be home soon. Thank you.

*IF WE NEED TO SHARE AN UPDATE, IT WILL BE ON THIS THREAD.

Open Houses are starting next week! This is a perfect opportunity for families to meet and connect with educators, administrators, and support staff. We hope to see you there!

For families with children in kindergarten, your Open House is separate from the other grades. It will still be at your scholar's school, but the Kindergarten Open Houses will all be on September 23.

Dear Middletown Fall Sports Parents and Guardians,

We are excited to invite you TONIGHT to our 2026 Fall Sports “Meet the Coach Night,” an opportunity to come out and meet the coaches for all of our boys' and girls' fall teams. This event is open to all parents and guardians of athletes participating in Modified (7th and 8th grade), Junior Varsity, and Varsity fall programs.

The evening will consist of two parts:

General Session Meeting with Athletic Directors
Tuesday, September 8th at 6:00 PM — Middletown High School Auditorium
Athletic Director Justin Sturge, Assistant Athletic Director Beth Fletcher, and our coaching staff will share updated sports guidelines for athletic participation, athletic rules and regulations, program philosophy, team goals and objectives, and important tryout criteria for all of our fall teams.

Individual Team Meetings with Coaches
Tuesday, September 8th at 6:45 PM — Various Locations Throughout Middletown High School 1st Floor
Following the general session, families will have the chance to meet individually with their child's team
coaches at various locations throughout the building.

We encourage all parents and guardians of our fall Modified, JV, and Varsity athletes to attend. This is a valuable opportunity to connect with our coaching staff and get answers to any questions you may have as the season begins.

If you have any questions, please contact the Middletown Athletic Department office at (845) 326-1533.

We look forward to seeing you there!

Sincerely,
Justin Sturge
Director of Athletics
