Natalia Zukerman knocked our socks off last night in VT! It was such an honor to host Natalia. Impeccable musicianship, an acrobatic voice that wraps around the room, enveloping you in the stories she brings to life in song. Crafty, smart and touching wit while pulling off tasty and seemingly impossible, but always right for the song, finger picked and slide guitar licks. All supporting tightly crafted, well honed compositions that tug at your heart, mind and funny bone. Catch a show when she is in you area! We hope she will come visit with us again! Oh, and she can drive through apocalyptic fog to make the gig like no one's business!

I saw Natalia at NERFA a music conference I attend yearly (and last year had the honor of being a showcase selection judge) at an official showcase. She was fantastic. Wide range of influence, raw ability, and clearly an old soul, wrapped in clear, present humility and artful expression. Reached out to her rather on a whim, to she if she would consider performing at our humble series, and magically Turn of the Tide can sandwich in perfectly "on the way" between Syracuse and Connecticut on Saturday Jan 11th. A Saturday! Potluck at 6, show at 7:30 $20 suggested donation, pay what you can, RSVP please! This is an honor, be here!

With diverse influences that include Folk, Jazz, Blues, Rock, Bluegrass, Country and even Classical, Natalia Zukerman has been described by public radio as “an example of the finest Americana.” She combines her unique slide guitar playing style with seductive vocals, a painter’s observing eye, unapologetic writing, and sharp wit. Zukerman’s music is as riddled with urban restlessness as it is grounded in rootsy warmth – a welcome contradiction.
“Natalia’s voice could send an orchid into bloom while her guitar playing can open a beer bottle with its teeth.” –New Yorker
“a strutting brass band one minute, a sighing lover the next.” –The Boston Globe
“a wise mix of rootsy styles from torch blues to country swing. If you’re a fan of Madeleine Peyroux, Bonnie Raitt or even Amy Winehouse, you’ll find stuff to connect with here.” –Philadelphia Daily News
