Middleton Speech and Debate Team "The two greatest fears of mankind are death and public speaking." Forensics is the art of competitive speaking, acting, and interpretation of literature.

We compete as part of the Wisconsin Forensic Coaches' Association (WFCA), and we are a charter member of the National Forensic League (NFL). Students can choose to compete in nearly 20 categories related to public speaking. The team travels weekly from January to April to compete for individual and team awards. Students who participate in forensics gain an appreciation for effective communication, teamwork, sportsmanship, interpersonal skills. writing and literature. Students are also eligible for exclusive scholarships and national merit recognition.

NSDA 2026‼️Two of our rising Juniors, Jenna Hager and Rianna Jain traveled to Richmond, Virginia this past week to compete at the National Speech and Debate Competition! Our beloved coaches, Jaclyn Bernard and Sofia Guha, had a blast judging, watching, and supporting Jenna and Rianna through their first Nationals experience!
