As we celebrate Juneteenth—commemorating the emancipation of enslaved African Americans—we’re reminded that true freedom includes economic independence.
Black entrepreneurship is a powerful path toward closing the racial wealth gap. Research shows that the median wealth gap between Black and White Americans narrows significantly when comparing business owners, making entrepreneurship “more so than even education, a tangible pathway for African Americans to achieve economic parity.” (UNLV)
