Nominations for the 2026–27 MHS Athletic Hall of Fame open September 7!

The Hall of Fame honors MHS graduates and former coaches who have made a lasting impact through outstanding athletic achievement, coaching, sportsmanship, integrity, and service to the Middleton community.

Nominees must be at least five years removed from their MHS graduation or coaching tenure.

🏐⚽️ HELP SUPPORT MIDDLETON HIGH SCHOOL PE! 🎾🏈

The Middleton High School PE Department is looking for donations of new or gently used sports equipment to help keep our students active, engaged, and having fun!

We currently need:
🎾 Tennis racquets & balls
🥏 Frisbees
🏓 Pickleballs & paddles
🏐 Volleyballs
⚽️ Soccer balls
🏈 Footballs

Have equipment sitting in the garage that isn’t getting used? We’d love to put it to good use with our students!

🦅 IT’S OFFICIAL… WE HAVE A MASCOT! 🦅

Over the last two days, elementary students across the Middleton School District had the opportunity to make their voices heard and cast their votes for the mascot of our newest elementary school.

The polls have closed, the votes have been counted, and we’re excited to announce…

🎉 FREEDOM ELEMENTARY EAGLES! 🎉

What a fun way for our students to experience democracy in action while helping shape the identity of their new school! We are so proud of our elementary students for participating, making their voices heard, and practicing their democracy skills. 🇺🇸

A huge THANK YOU to everyone who shared their time, ideas, and support throughout the process of naming our new school and creating this memorable experience for our students.

And a special shoutout to our current elementary schools for hosting voting days and giving students the opportunity to participate in this exciting process!

We’d also like to thank Senator Tammy Nichols for joining us on voting day at Mill Creek Elementary and helping make the experience even more special for our students.

🗳️ Democracy in Action! 💜

Purple Sage Elementary students had the chance to make their voices heard as they stepped into our little “voting booths” to cast their ballots for the mascot of Middleton School District’s NEW elementary school! 🏫✨

What a fun way to give students ownership and a voice in creating the identity of their new school. We love seeing our students participate in this exciting process!

🎉 BIG CONGRATULATIONS to Medical Assisting graduates Molly Yundt and Oliver Nuzzaco! 🎉

After completing the Medical Assisting Program with Kasey Kasper, Molly and Oliver recently took—and PASSED—the NHA Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) certification exam! 🩺🎓👏

The NHA CCMA is a nationally recognized healthcare certification that demonstrates the knowledge and skills needed to work as a Clinical Medical Assistant in a healthcare setting. Earning this credential is a HUGE accomplishment and an exciting step as Molly and Oliver begin their healthcare careers or continue their education.

Throughout the program, they worked hard to develop skills in patient care, vital signs, medical terminology, infection control, pharmacology, phlebotomy, EKGs, clinical procedures, and so much more. Now, all that hard work has paid off! ❤️

We couldn’t be prouder of Molly and Oliver for their dedication, perseverance, and commitment to their futures.

Congratulations, Molly and Oliver! You earned this! 🩺👏🎓

📣 Community School Update: We’re Moving!

Middleton School District families, our Community School and Community Closet are temporarily closed while we move into our new location!

📍 New Location:
115 B Main Street, Building B
Backside of the Community Center
Middleton, Idaho

We’re excited about our new space and the additional opportunities it will provide to support our students and families. 💙 We anticipate reopening in mid-September.

👕 Community Closet Donations: Please hang onto your donations until we reopen. We are incredibly grateful for your generosity and look forward to accepting donations again at our new location!

🆘 Need immediate assistance? While we’re closed, families with an emergency need can call or text Sharlea Watkins at 208-812-2187.

Thank you for your patience and understanding during our move. We can’t wait to welcome you into our new space soon!

🎉 The votes are in — meet Freedom Elementary! 🎉

Thanks to an incredible 1,508 community votes, Freedom Elementary has officially been selected as the name of Middleton School District’s new elementary school!

🗳️ Final results:
• Freedom Elementary — 573 votes
• Kingsbury Meadows — 471 votes
• Frontier — 464 votes

Thank you to everyone who helped choose a name for the students and families who will soon call this school home. 💙

And we’re not done yet! Next week, students from Purple Sage, Heights, and Mill Creek Elementary Schools will vote to select Freedom Elementary’s mascot from options developed by the naming committee.
