Sunset Ridge Elementary

Sunset Ridge Elementary and Middleton High School are teaming up to take care of Sunset Ridge's greenhouse this summer!

It’s the school’s first full year of maintaining the greenhouse – an effort led by Library Media Specialist Mr. Ren Schwab and a team of Sunset Ridge teachers, students and parent volunteers. This summer, they’ll get additional support from Mr. Ben Shrago and his science class at Middleton High School to automate the greenhouse's watering system.

High school students are programming computers to sense moisture levels and run a watering system. They're putting the finishing touches on the moisture-sensor system, and set up a temporary timer to help with watering in the interim.

The fourth graders are having a blast at their end of year party! The weather is thankfully holding off! They’ve played in the splash pad, made bracelets, took pictures, went fishing, and played lawn games. Let’s not forget the pizza and Kona ice!

Don’t forget graduation tomorrow 6/9 starting promptly at 8am in the SSR gym! Summer is so close ☀️

We're continuing our beloved tradition with new safeguards in place. To participate in senior walks, students must register in advance. Seniors should check their email for instructions on how to register.
