💙🚔 HELP US FILL COMFORT KITS! 🚔💙

Our Yellow Creek Betas are teaming up with our very own Aubree Blakley to put together Comfort Kits for children going through difficult situations. 💙🧸

We would love your help! 🫶

🧸 WHAT CAN YOU DONATE?
Anything that will fit inside a gallon-sized Ziploc bag and bring a child comfort, joy, or a sense of security during a difficult time. New or gently used items are welcome!

📍 WHERE CAN YOU DROP OFF DONATIONS?
💙 Students may bring items to Mrs. Middleton’s classroom
🚔 The school office (community members are welcome to drop off donations, too!)

Every little item can make a BIG difference in a child’s life. We are so excited to partner with Aubree on this special project and are incredibly thankful for a community that always shows up for our kids! 💙

Let’s work together to remind children that they are loved, supported, and never alone! 🫶🚔🧸

We are collecting items throughout the month of October!

🐻🐢🐍 Our fourth graders had a WILD time learning with visitors from Pine Mountain State Resort Park! 🌿

Michael Amburgey and a fellow park representative visited our students to teach them about local wildlife and the amazing animals that call our area home. Students got an up-close look at a bear skin, a box turtle, a snapping turtle, and several different animal skulls. They even had the opportunity to hold a snake! 🐍

We are so thankful for visitors who bring learning to life and give our students hands-on experiences they won’t soon forget! 💚

Huge shoutout to Middlesboro ARH for coming and speaking with our first graders today about the human body and their occupations! Thank you so much for all of the donations to make sure our doctors went into our “Bobcat Hospital” in style! We appreciate Dr. Almoagno, Waylon Dunn, CRNA, and Kyle Dunn, Director of Surgery!

🩺❤️ Our first graders had a BLAST during our Knowledge Culminating Event for the Human Body unit! We had so much fun learning about the different parts of the body and pretending to be doctors as we reviewed everything we’ve learned! 🩻🚑
