On August 6th and 7th, I taught a spindle-turning class on making a three-legged stool for the West Michigan Woodturners in Kalamazoo, MI. All eight participants completed a stool. Because we used Jet Midi Lathes, the legs had to be turned in two pieces, with a mortise-and-tenon joint holding them together but concealed in the top node of the bamboo-style turning. A big shoutout to Bruce Dannenhauer, Dave Kerley and all the members of the Kalamazoo AAW club for the warm welcome.

On Saturday, I presented a lecture/demonstratio on sharpening bowl gouges for the club's monthly meeting.

I still have room in my June 27 & 28 (Sat-Sun) Planes, Chisels, and Backsaws Class as well as my July 19-25 (six-day) Handtool Joinery Class. These two courses give you a great grounding in Handtool Joinery methods in building fine furniture.
