Huge congratulations to Patty Prendergast and Terry Gagich, who were honored during the Middlebury Minute at last night's school board meeting!

Over the past year, Patty and Terry have completed a rigorous mentorship program to prepare for the nationally recognized CETL (Certified Education Technology Leader) certification. Their journey included monthly mentor meetings, collaborative study sessions with tech staff across the state, and several in-person workshops.

The culmination of all this hard work? They both passed the difficult CETL exam with flying colors!

Earning this certification proves that Terry and Patty have mastered the many complex facets required of a Chief Technology Officer. To put this amazing achievement into perspective: there are only 85 people in the entire state of Indiana who hold a CETL certification!

We were also thrilled to welcome board members from the IN CTO Council (Indiana Chief Technology Officer Council) to last night's meeting to officially present Patty and Terry with commemorative frames to display their certificates.

Congratulations. MCS is proud of your accomplishment!

Mornings are hectic! Let us save you time and join us in the cafeteria for a nutritious breakfast! All breakfasts are served in the cafeteria at the beginning of the school day. If you are eligible for free or reduced meals, those benefits also carry over to breakfast! Otherwise, breakfast is $1.80. Breakfast includes a hot or cold entree, fruit, a protien side, and milk. Join us in welcoming our new School Resource Officer, Officer Colleen Warstler!

Officer Warstler was officially sworn in earlier this week, and we couldn’t be more thrilled to have her join the MCS team. We are incredibly excited about the positive impact she will have and look forward to the great relationships she will build with our students.

If you see Officer Warstler in the hallways or around campus, be sure to say hello and give her a warm MCS welcome!

What a fantastic first day of school!

We couldn't have asked for a better start to the year. The hallways were filled with lots of smiling faces, and despite a few expected first-day jitters, it was an absolutely successful day across the board!

We are so incredibly excited to have everyone back in the buildings filling the classrooms with energy. We are looking forward to a wonderful year of learning, growth, and making memories together.

Thank you to all the students, parents, and staff for making today so special. Let’s make it the best year yet!
