ACORN's mission is to promote the growth and health of local food and agriculture in Vermont’s Champlain Valley by providing support to our farmers and food producers, engaging in food education and ensuring access to healthy food for all members of our community.

We are still feeling the energy from last Saturday! Thank you to all the farmers, producers, volunteers, sponsors, and riders who made Tour de Farms 2026 so incredible 🌟

Riders took on the hills of the Champlain Valley, stopping at seven farm stops and sampling delicious treats from local people and land. The day wrapped up with an after-party hosted by Better Middlebury Partnership We are feeling so grateful to our community

Check this out! ACSD’s Food Service Director Steven Marinelli shows off the equipment he uses to process and distribute local food sourced through the ACORN Food Hub, such as salsa and sliced cucumbers, which is then distributed from a central commissary kitchen to all the schools in his district.🎉
