Welcome to the Region 15 family!

We were excited to welcome our newest educators today as they kicked off New Teacher Orientation!

This group brings a wealth of experience to Region 15, bringing a combined 137 years of service in education! New Teacher Orientation is a chance to get to know Region 15, meet new colleagues, learn about our schools and community, and get ready for the year ahead.

We’re so happy to have them joining our schools and look forward to a great year together.

Region 15 Schools is proud to host STEM-A-Palooza 2026, and we're inviting our entire community and our surrounding area towns to join us for a day of exploration, innovation, and discovery!

Whether you're a parent, student, educator, retiree, business owner, engineer, healthcare professional, tradesperson, artist, hobbyist, or STEM enthusiast, there's a place for you at STEM-A-Palooza.

This FREE community event will feature hands-on STEM activities, interactive exhibits, live demonstrations, and exciting experiences for all ages.

We're excited to welcome organizations including CT STEM Academy, Eversource, Society of Women Engineers, Flanders Nature Center, STARBASE Connecticut, Energize CT, Aer Blarney Balloon Adventures, Freedom Farm Animal Sanctuary, Pomperaug River Watershed, The Bee Lady, Furry Scaly Friends, and many more!

Help bring STEM-A-Palooza to life! We're looking for adults and high school students to join us as volunteers.

🔬 Bring an Activity You Enjoy�! Have a hands-on STEM activity, demonstration, experiment, hobby, career, or area of expertise you'd like to share? We'd love for you to bring an engaging activity that you're passionate about and inspire others through a fun, interactive experience.

⚙️ High School Students: We'll Provide the Activity that you Lead!� Want to volunteer but don't have an activity? We'd love to have you join us! We'll provide the supplies, materials, and instructions and you bring the energy and enthusiasm …AND we can give you community service hours!

The Region 15 Board of Education has appointed Danielle McCauley as the district's new Director of Health, Physical Education, and Athletics.

A dedicated member of the Region 15 community for more than a decade, Mrs. McCauley brings extensive experience in curriculum leadership, instructional improvement, professional learning, and athletics. Her commitment to student wellness, educator support, and collaborative leadership will continue to strengthen opportunities for students across our schools.

Looking for a fun and free way to help your child stay engaged in learning this summer?

The 2026 Connecticut Commissioner's Summer Math Challenge gives students the opportunity to reinforce math skills and prepare for the upcoming school year!

Students can participate through:
📐 Connecticut Summer Math Passport (Grades K–8)
💻 Khan Academy's Get Ready for Grade Level courses (Grades 3–High School)

Whether your child enjoys solving problems, practicing new skills, or getting a head start on next year, the Summer Math Challenge is a great way to keep learning going all summer long.
