During our visit to Colorado State University (CSU), I learned that it’s an ideal time for non-residence to apply since the university is actively looking to increase its out-of-state student population. Plus, the university is affordable, highly accessible -located just an hour from Denver- and offers a lovely campus environment.
For students worried about attending a large research institution (with 24,000 undergrads), the University Honors Program enrolls just 500 first-year students, helping this big school feel smaller. CSU‘s newest program is nursing and this unique 3+2 program admits just 40 students per year. Students spend all five years at the Fort Collins campus, completing undergraduate pre-nursing requirements in years one through three, and finishing their Masters in Nursing during years four and five.
The icing on the cake is the location. Fort Collins is an exceptional college town that offers everything from hiking, biking, and kayaking to paddle boarding and whitewater rafting. Off the trails the community boasts of fun, vibrant scene filled with local small businesses and fantastic music venues. https://www.colostate.edu/
