The West and the Over Spirit Teams have been defining aspects of what it means to be a Westover student. When the school was founded, Wests and Overs played intramural sports against one another. Today, the spirit teams practice friendly competition through traditions, and they are led by a cohort of six Spirit Heads.

At Westover, our faculty offers over 100 courses for students to engage in. This year, students can take humanities electives, like Playwriting and The Rise of Cottage-Core, and science electives, such as Astronomy: Exploring the Cosmos and Chemistry in the Arts, in addition to core academic classes.

Get excited, Wildcats! The 2026 yearbook arrived on campus for returning students to flip through and reflect on the past year together as they begin a new chapter in their Westover journeys.

The theme may look familiar…and it’s so fetch! The yearbook staff was inspired by the 2026 musical and iconic 2000s film Mean Girls, and put a Westover spin on it. In just three weeks, students, alums, families, friends, and neighbors are invited to enjoy a summer evening with a picnic dinner and lawn games in Quad! The annual Community Picnic, hosted by Westover’s Admission and Advancement Offices, will take place from 5:00–7:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 20.
