Elkhart County students, the Lilly Endowment Community Scholarship application is open now through September 15 at 5 p.m.
To be considered, students must:
- Live in Elkhart County
- Graduate from an accredited Elkhart County high school
- Plan to enroll in a four-year degree program at an accredited Indiana college or university starting fall 2027
- Have completed Core 40, an Indiana Academic Honors Diploma, or an equivalent course of study
- Come from a household where neither parent nor guardian has completed a four-year college degree
Students should talk with their high school counselor about requesting an access code to begin the application online. After the deadline, each high school forwards its applications to a school committee, which selects one nominee to move forward.

Class of 2026: Save the Dates

April 15 – Cap & Gown pick up during lunches-

Available for pick up in the counseling office on the 16th.

May 16 – Prom at the Lerner 7-11PM

May 26- Senior Awards Night at 7pm in the NHS Auditorium

May 28- 3rd Block Final.

10:25 am Senior Breakfast, Senior Superlatives,

Ticket Distribution(8 tickets per student this year), Cap & Gown Elementary School Walk

June 5 – Graduation Rehearsal at 10:00 am

Bring Cap & Gown for pictures

June 7 – Graduation! Students arrive at 1:00 pm,

Ceremony at 2:00 pm in the MAC

🎉Open Enrollment is Here🎉

C.A.R.E. (Community Assisting and Rewarding Education) University is offering an amazing opportunity for current seniors of an Elkhart county high school planning to attend post-secondary education.

C.A.R.E.’s goal is to “help college students and their parents offset the cost of day-to-day living while students are away at college.”

C.A.R.E. creates packages for eligible students twice a year (beginning of first and semester and beginning of second semester). These packages are donation funded. Packages include items such as personal hygiene products, snacks, and school supplies. Additionally, C.A.R.E. has partnered with AEP to offer a Technology Fund for eligible first-year C.A.R.E. -Be a graduate of an Elkhart County High School
-Minimum 2.0 GPA
-Students must be leaving home to attend college with a dorm or apartment as primary residence.

What: Finalizing Financial Aid & FAFSA Completion Night
When: Wednesday, March 25th at 6 pm
Where: Northridge High School Library

A quick reminder that our Finalizing Financial Aid & FAFSA Completion Night is next week. Seniors and families will want to attend for FREE expert help in comparing financial aid offers from colleges and understanding the options to cover any remaining balance. After the presentation, for families that still need assistance with filing the FAFSA, INvestEd will be on hand to answer questions and guide them through the process.

INvestEd is an Indiana not-for-profit and has offered FREE help to students for over 40 years. For more information on INvestEd check out their website: https://www.investedindiana.org.
