Dietrich's Loudoun 2015-16 Memories

Your DRAGONS are ready! Sharing roles as leaders, coaching each other through battle practice, and learning/improving as they go. Today was a special day to end the season, taking a few moments to commend each DRAGON's improvements since we began and rewarding our crew with a post-battle practice movie!

Class today was bittersweet! For our final class, your NINJAS got to complete the testing and earn their belts for conquering the CONTROL challenge AND we all celebrated with an end-of-year movie treat! So proud of the NINJAS' hard work this year!

CONTROL isn't only required in NINJA classs... Your NINJAS are learning to apply NINJA PROTICAL with real-life opportunities. Does your NINJA know how to recognize LIGHT, MEDIUM and HARD words? What do NINJAS do if we accidentally lose control?

Showing off their TEAMWORK and LEADERSHIP skills! Today, your DRAGONS ran team-style warm-ups, completed team-style fitness challenges(over 100 situps/pushups) and then worked together fine-tuning their MIDDLE BLOCK BATTLE skills. Character skills we saw today: honorably giving it their all, respectfully battling, graciously winning and confidently coaching!

Does your DRAGON have the DRIVE to get the work done to be ready to BATTLE? Here's the team, warming up, stretching and building their muscles with 100+ situps and pushups BEFORE stepping in the ring! How do DRAGONS show off their BLACK BELT ATTITUDE? Applying learned skills, battling with pride, stepping up to judge, and coaching teammates!

NINJAS are comfortable with the definitions and applications of LIGHT, MEDIUM and HARD...How do we use these every day? How does a NINJA gather enough strength to use HARD contact? How do we read what kind of contact others are using? What is NINJA PROTICAL if they accidentally use HARD contact?

From understanding how to control our bodies to understanding the differences between LIGHT, MEDIUM and HARD contact, today your NINJAS mustered up all their power and strength to demonstrate HARD contact! DRAGONS taking COOPERATION to the next level as we strengthen our bodies TEAMWORK SYLE and then continue with our BATTLE CHALLENGES, as BBLT members take on the role as judges.

Working hard, working together. Team warm ups, team fitness and team fun. Dragons ended class with engaging each in in middle block practice battles. Getting closer and closer to cooperative battles, coaching each other and keeping themselves safe under pressure...

BIg steps for your NINJAS today as each NINJA got a chance to LEAD the other NINJAS and NINJA supporters! After taking CONTROL of the class, we moved on to CONTROLLING the way we interact with others. What is LIGHT contact? What does LIGHT look like? What does LIGHT feel like?

Teamwork and fitness and Teamwork and stregnth building and Teamwork and control...and then we sit, we stand, we prep for teamwork and battles. , getiing stronger and enjoying the workout almost as much as they're enjoying the art of the battle.

Staying FOCUS and on task, while learning new skills, while working our muscles, while controlling our bodies, while having a good time...Showing off our BALANCE, our sheer power and our willingness to learn, these NINJAS are getting IN CONTROL!

Moving on from FOCUS to CONTROL, NINJAS showed off their eagness to learn,in control of their bodies with the new challenges, maintaining balance and applying previosuly learned FOCUS skills in a brand new environment!

With engaging another DRAGON in "battle" coming soon, your DRAGONS are sharpening their COOPERATIVE skills, building muscles and growing confidence in each other. No matter who we are teamed up with, DRAGONS are more capable together.
