📣 FINALLY… the Rock Your Ride Pop-Up Workshops are on the calendar! 🐴💜

I am kicking things off September 14th with our first workshop:

RIDE FROM YOUR CENTER

Your “center” is so much more than just strong abs. In this workshop, we’ll explore how your core, breath, balance and body awareness work together to create a more stable, effective rider.

Through Pilates-based exercises, we’ll work on finding your center of gravity, improving pelvic and trunk stability, and learn how to stay strong without becoming stiff—so you can move with your horse instead of working against them.

Think: better balance, clearer aids, less unnecessary tension and a happier horse underneath you.

Whether you’re revisiting these concepts with me or discovering them for the first time, come ready to move, have some laughs and learn to Rock Your Ride!

🐴 September 14 — Ride From Your Center 11am-1pm in my studio
💜 Small-group Pop-Up Workshop
✨ Space is limited to 4 riders

🐴 New research from our team is helping horses survive one of the most feared diseases in the industry.

A new study led by Drs. Megan Marchitello, Krista Estell, Elsa Ludwig, and Professor Emeritus Nathaniel White of Virginia Tech's Marion duPont Scott Equine Medical Center and former Virginia State Veterinarian Abby M. Sage found that combining valacyclovir (an antiviral) with heparin (an anticoagulant) significantly reduced the incidence of equine herpesvirus Myeloencephalopathy (EHM), the severe neurologic form of EHV-1 — and improved survival during naturally occurring outbreaks.

Looking back at a real-world EHV-1 outbreak, the team found that horses treated with the combination therapy had dramatically better outcomes than those who didn't receive it, including several EHM-affected horses that survived and returned to work.

This is exactly the kind of applied outbreak-informed research that keeps the Marion duPont Scott Equine Medical Center at the forefront of equine infectious disease medicine — turning real clinical challenges into treatment protocols that protect horses everywhere.

Once again, one of my favorite clients has completely spoiled me. 💜🌸

Last time it was an arrangement of gorgeous peonies from her garden. This time... these absolutely breathtaking gladiolus. WOW!

The flowers are beautiful, but it's the kindness behind them that means the most. Over the years, I've been lucky enough to work with some truly incredible people, and friendships like these are one of the greatest gifts...they just keep growing too!

My studio smells amazing, my heart is full, and apparently I have my own personal Rocking Horse Fitness florist. The best part? I don't even have to place an order. 😊🌸
Thank you for making my day—and for sharing a little piece of your beautiful garden with me.

WHOA ON WEDNESDAY: Today!

What if one of the best things you could do for your horse...wasn't another lesson?

What if it was learning to move better yourself?

Over the past 20+ years, I've watched riders spend countless hours improving their horses while giving very little attention to the one piece of equipment they bring to every ride—their own body.

That's about to change! POP-UP WORKSHOPS

I'm putting the finishing touches on a brand-new small-group workshop series called
Rock Your Ride: The Rider Tune-Up Series

Think Pilates. Strength. Mobility. Balance. Body awareness. All designed specifically for riders—and all taught in my encouraging, fun and judgement-free studio where questions are welcome and progress is possible..

The best part?

Each workshop is limited to just FOUR riders, so everyone receives individual coaching and leaves with practical tools they can use at the barn and in the saddle.

Whether you're new to riding or have spent decades in the saddle, if you want to feel stronger, move more freely and become an even better partner for your horse, this series is for you.

Details are coming soon...and I can't wait to share them. 💜🐎

“Nobody Cares. Work Harder.”

When I first saw this sign at DMV Iron, I laughed.

Then I realized it can mean two completely different things.

Version #1: Nobody cares… as in, nobody is watching you. Nobody is judging your workout, your outfit, or how much weight you’re lifting. So stop worrying and just start.

Version #2: Nobody cares… as in, quit making excuses. Show up. Put in the work. Results don’t come from wishing—they come from doing.

I like both! 😘😂😘

On Saturday, my daughter wanted to spend her birthday at DMV Iron, the new gym she has joined and hasn’t stopped talking about…😂 I was all in. I’ve never seen anything like it—over a million dollars’ worth of equipment, incredible athletes, and an atmosphere completely different from other “Gyms” I’ve visited.

I got to see a trainer I had worked with years ago at The Skyline Club, when he was just starting out and now he’s killing it💥💥💥He was doing a Movement Assessment for two women who appeared to be just starting their fitness journey. He was so knowledgeable and supportive. Now he is helping create an amazing place where people come to get stronger every single day.

What surprised me most wasn’t the equipment—it was the culture. I’m not sure what I expected but what I found was discipline, respect, and people simply focused on becoming a little better than they were yesterday.

As someone who spends her days helping riders move better, ride better, and stay healthy for life, I walked away inspired. Strength has a place for everyone. You don’t have to be a powerlifter or a bodybuilder to appreciate the commitment it takes.

Caring for and riding horses well, takes the same kind of discipline. Having a structured fitness program helps teach this discipline and will improve the rider’s
abilities and success with their horses, if the training is consistent over time.

(For the record… I did not pick up the 125-pound dumbbells. I stayed in my lane, at least for the moment 💪🏻😂)

Maybe that’s the real message:

Nobody’s paying as much attention to you as you think they are… so stop waiting for the perfect moment. Just begin.

I’d love to help you take that first step from wherever you’re standing! 💜🐴💜
