Jordan Rundio just sent this to me today. Three years ago from today both her and Meredith Wood Forkum agreed to venture out on a one night backpacking trip in the Great Smoky Mountains after Choo Choo Camp. They were such great troopers the whole trip. I probably should have taken them on a different trail for their first trip but I didn’t think the elevation was going to be so much but they did it and I loved being able to share another passion of mine (in addition to volleyball) with the two of them. They are both Mburg Alum and Volleyball Alums and were both coaching with me during that time. ❤️🙌

For those of you in the MHS Volleyball world that know Ellie, not only was she our Vb manager for the past four years and my co-pilot on road trips, she is also one of my hiking buddies. We have been planning this night hike for the last couple weeks and finally were able to get on the trail. We had such a good time, we tested out some of my new gear that I’ll be using when I start my Appalachian Trail thru hike and made some hot chocolate (it was chilly out) while we were out there. She’s becoming quite the hiker🙌

Ellie and I went on a night hike and I was able to try out my new Jetboil Stash and my Nitecore NU25 UL headlamp. Both worked great!

Congratulations to the Bronco Volleyball Team for solidly clinching the District championship last night! They brought last night and played like true CHAMPIONS! BACK2BACK DISTRICT CHAMPS! ❤️🐴🏐🙌
