Founded in 1914, Foxcroft School is a college-preparatory boarding and day school for girls in grades 9-12. The school is located on 500 acres in Middleburg, Virginia, 50 miles west of Washington, D.C. Exceptional Proficiency Program Going Strong After 33 Years 01/03/2025

Foxcroft's Exceptional Proficiency Program has set us apart for 33 years! Students who participate in EP are in a unique position to pursue high levels of training, performance, and competition in a chosen area of interest while simultaneously maintaining high academic standards. ✨ This year, Foxcroft has 22 EP students competing in riding, field hockey, golf, ice hockey, polocrosse, soccer, tennis, and water skiing.

A Lesson in Civics from Cierra C. ’25 12/20/2024

"You can make an impact, if you just try.” Cierra C. ’25 gave a presentation during Morning Meeting about how she and her mom passed a bill in Colorado mandating insurance coverage for an autoimmune inflammatory brain disorder antibody treatment called Intravenous Immunoglobulin (IVIG). πŸ‘ We are so proud of you, Cierra!

A Lesson in Civics from Cierra C. ’25 During Morning Meeting this month, Senior Cierra C. shared how she and her mom, Christine, worked to pass a bill in Colorado, making a positive impact on children and families affected by an autoimmune disorder shared by a member of her family.

Scientific Illustration: At the Intersection of Art and Science 12/18/2024

At the intersection of art and science sits a new elective at Foxcroft: Scientific Illustration. πŸŽ¨πŸ” Members of the class have designed field guide pages, created watercolor bird illustrations inspired by John James Audubon’s "The Birds of America," and made posters visualizing the invisible.

Elyse Cohen is a corporate social impact expert and mental health advocate with over 18 years of experience creating break-through social impact programs, partnerships, and marketing campaigns for companies, non-profits, and government, including serving as a member of Former First Lady Michelle Obama’s Senior Staff team. She has been at the forefront of some of the most iconic impact campaigns and is driven by her passion for creating and communicating corporate social responsibility initiatives and public-private partnerships that leverage assets, generate change, and uniquely position brands and celebrities as leaders in social impact.

Elyse currently serves as the Executive Vice President of Social Impact at Rare Beauty. She also serves as President of the Rare Impact Fund, a non-profit launched by Selena Gomez with the goal of raising $100M to expand access to mental health services for young people around the world.
