All volunteers are required to get a free background check at the Board of Education. This is a new policy within the Berea City School District. We want all of our amazing volunteers to continue sharing in the PTA fun so please call the Board of Education to schedule a free background check as soon as you can! Background checks are valid for 5 years so if you have completed one within that time frame, please call to ensure it is still valid.

The PTA and Fourth Grade Farewell Committee wanted to give back to Big Creek as a small thank you for all the ways Big Creek has given to our students and families over the years. After surveying the fourth graders, it was voted that this year’s monetary give-back would go to our Specials Department!

We are so grateful for everything you do to inspire, encourage, and teach our students through Art, Music, P.E., and Library. Thank you for helping make Big Creek such a special place to learn and grow. Enjoy your gift! 🧡💙

Our Big Creek fourth graders had an unforgettable farewell celebration! 💙🧡🎓

The kids loved spotting their yard signs on the walk to the rec, where they spent the day swimming, playing basketball and dodgeball, making crafts, and celebrating together with friends. The fun continued with a glow party in the ballroom featuring lunch, dancing, photo booths, candy snack boxes, and so much more! ✨🕺📸🍭

Elementary school may be over, but the memories made will last forever. Thank you to all of the parents, volunteers, and staff who helped make this such an incredible experience for our Big Creek fourth graders. We can’t wait to watch the Class of 2034 continue to grow and shine! 🌟

’Twas the night before Fourth Grade Farewell, and all through Big Creek,
The balloons were all popping, squeak after squeak.
The yard signs were staking straight into the ground,
While excited volunteers hurried around.

The pictures were flowing, the memories too,
From kindergarten days to the last fourth grade crew.
The workers were buzzing with smiles and with cheer,
Ready to celebrate an amazing school year.

Tomorrow’s the big day — we can’t wait to see
