Middleborough Public Schools is pleased to announce the appointment of Patrick Lenz as the new principal of the Mary K. Goode Elementary School.

Lenz brings more than 20 years of experience as an educator and school administrator. Most recently, he served as principal of Silvia Elementary School in Fall River, where he led a diverse PreK–5 school community.

During his time in Fall River, Lenz expanded inclusive learning opportunities, developed systems to support students’ academic and social-emotional needs, and secured significant grant funding for extended and engaging learning opportunities. Under his leadership, the school achieved strong academic growth and was recognized as one of the city’s top-performing schools.

Before joining Fall River Public Schools, Lenz served as principal of Vinal Elementary School, elementary assistant principal for curriculum, and an elementary classroom teacher in Norwell Public Schools. His experience includes curriculum development, assessment, professional learning, technology integration, special education, and family engagement.

β€œPatrick brings extensive elementary leadership experience and a strong commitment to supporting the academic and social-emotional growth of every student,” said Interim Superintendent Dr. David L. Thomson. β€œWe are excited to welcome him to Middleborough and look forward to the leadership, collaboration, and experience he will bring to the Mary K. Goode community.”

Lenz earned his undergraduate degree in elementary and special education from Providence College and completed postgraduate studies in educational leadership and policy at Boston University.

Middleborough Public Schools looks forward to welcoming Patrick Lenz and introducing him to MKG students, staff, and families as the new school year begins.

Learning, leadership, and lasting memories were all part of this year's D.A.R.E. Camp!

This week, Middleborough Public Schools students joined peers from across Plymouth County at Silver Lake Regional High School for the annual D.A.R.E. Summer Program Camp. Sponsored by the Plymouth County District Attorney's Office, Plymouth County Police Chiefs, and School Resource Officers, the program combines meaningful lessons with hands-on activities in a fun and supportive environment.

Throughout the week, students explored ways to make safe, healthy decisions while participating in team-building challenges, outdoor games, and activities that promoted communication, trust, and new friendships.

Thank you to the organizers, School Resource Officers, and volunteers for providing our students with an unforgettable summer experience! πŸ–€πŸ§‘πŸš“
