I am incredibly proud of my student, Tyler Gennaro, who began his martial arts journey at just 5 years old and today earned his second-degree black belt in Matsubayashi Shorin Ryu. Tyler’s hard work ethic both in and out of the Dojo is nothing short of remarkable. In addition to his martial arts accomplishments, he has been involved in theater since seventh grade, appearing in over 20 productions and even taking on lead roles in several. An honor student throughout high school and now in college, Tyler is setting his sights on a future career as a child psychologist. I am confident he will excel in everything he pursues, both in and out of the Dojo.

To make this achievement even more special, it is a privilege to watch Tyler train alongside his father, Sensei Charles Gennaro, a 4th-degree black belt. Seeing them share this journey is truly inspiring. On behalf of Takeshi Tamaki Sensei, Masahiko Tokashiki Sensei , Sadahiro Makino and all the members of Shorin Ryu Karate Do International. Congratulations 🎉👊🏻👊🏻👊🏻
