State council begins work for better control of invasive plants A council created by the state Legislature has begun an effort to help agencies and the public better understand the need to prevent invasive plant species from getting established and spreading in Indiana.

A new study reveals there will not be enough water in the Colorado River in the future to meet the demands of the more than 33 million people. Can we find a way to protect rivers and streams from drying up?

Rain garden planting at Barker Middle School today!!! WOOOT!

The NW Indiana Earth Partnership is getting into restoration mode! Yesterday, we planted a rain garden at Lake Hills Elementary! Today, we did a woodland restoration at Barker Middle School! We're working hard to get some more pervious surfaces in Michigan City to protect the water in Lake Michigan! We are also amazed at how connected some kids get to the plants! PICTURES TO COME!
