It was a beautiful day to celebrate our 8th graders!!! These kids have had such an unconventional middle school experience. We’re proud of everything they’ve done big & small & wish them all the best as they move onto their freshman year!
Hello Barker Parents. This is Mr Greene, Your Principal, with an important announcement:
As a follow up to one of Sunday's All Calls, I would again like to communicate the PTO’s plan for an 8th grade student gift. The Barker PTO had high hopes for an 8th grade promotion celebration this year and unfortunately, as with everything else, we are saddened to say this event will not be able to take place. Part of the celebration was going to include t-shirts for all of our 8th graders, the MCAS class of 2024.
It is the mission of the Barker PTO to make sure all of our 8th grade students still receive their shirt. Please call (219) 873-2057, ext 7300 by no later than this Friday, May 8th by the end of the school day (2:15 p.m) with your child’s shirt size, so their shirt can be ordered. There will not be any extras, so if you don’t get on the list, your child will not receive a shirt. Please do not miss this opportunity. Again, this is a gift being provided by the PTO at no cost to you.
We are working with school administrators to determine the best distribution process within our current guidelines and will contact you in the near future with the details for that.
Parents, please call us with this information. This unprecedented year has forced us to do things differently than we ever could have imagined and we do not want our kids to go completely without at the end of their year. This is a great keepsake to remind them their Barker family is incredibly proud of all they have accomplished in their middle school career and we support them as they continue on their paths towards a bright and promising future!
