Coolspring Community Association - Parent Group The Coolpsring Community Association is the parent group for Coolspring Elementary in Michigan City, IN. This page is ran by CCA board members.

We organize many school events, fundraisers and other fun things to do in the school. We are always looking for volunteers, donations and ideas. They are the only eyes that see the private messengs sent in. We are here to help you parents with any and all things wildcat. :)

MCAS is set to begin school on Tuesday, August 18, with power and internet expected to be restored across all buildings.

Thank you to our families for your patience and flexibility, and to everyone who helped prepare our schools following the severe weather. We look forward to welcoming students back!

Need a meal tonight?

Due to widespread power outages following yesterday's severe storms, The Salvation Army of Michigan City will be offering free sacked meals and bottled water to anyone in need.

These sandwiches and snacks will be ready to eat and intended to help those without refrigeration or cooking options.

As our community continues to deal with the impact of recent storm damage and power outages, Michigan City Area Schools has decided to remain closed for the rest of the week: Thursday, August 13, and Friday, August 14. There will be no eLearning.

We hope to welcome students and staff back to school on Monday, August 17. Please check your email for an update.

Please prioritize your safety and look out for one another during this time. Thanks for your patience and understanding.

Due to severe weather and power outages throughout the area, all Open Houses and Back-to-School Night events scheduled for today have been canceled. We are monitoring conditions for tomorrow.

Information regarding rescheduled dates and times will be shared as soon as it is available. Please watch for updates from your child’s school through its website and school messaging channels.
